Environment, Sustainability & Ethics :

Medisystems serves to benefit the environment through energy efficiency and the principle of ‘reduce, reuse and recycle’. Medisystems is conscious of environmental concerns for disposal of hazardous waste in soil, rivers, streams, lakes and ponds. We strive to benefit the environment through appropriate waste disposal methods. We are also conscious of benefiting the community through recycling and reuse of old computers, recycling of metals, plastic and glass, precious metals recovery and recycling waste paper.

Energy efficiency:

Medisystems manufactures energy efficient devices and products so that the cost savings are passed on to the user.

Waste Disposal:

Medisystems disposes of all its electronic waste in an environmentally friendly manner. Medisystems is conscious of environmental concerns for disposal of hazardous waste. All our production related waste materials are disposed off through Eco Recycling Ltd., Mumbai. We have also been awarded the ‘Green Enterprise’ status by Eco Recycling Ltd. for regular waste disposals since 2009.

All electronic wastes from our factory are sorted and segregated by category before weighing and disposal through Eco Recycling Ltd. The benefits of organized waste disposal are:

  • Glass items from picture tubes, lamps and CRT’s can be recovered and reused.
  • Plastics can be graded and remelted for use as recycled plastic
  • Aluminium from housings and copper from wires can also be separated and reused as scrap.
  • Precious metals like gold, silver, copper, palladium used for wires, electronic componenets & PCB’s can be recovered and reused.
  • All electronic hazardous waste are sorted by category and disposed off suitably under MPCB & CPCB norms.
  • Used computers and office equipments are refurbished to the extent possible and given on low cost to educational institutes, NGO’s and trusts.
  • Any hazardous waste materials that cannot be salvaged can be shipped out to Global recyclers for suitable treatment.
  • Through all such measures we hope to sustain our environment and benefit our community.

For Medisystems, sustainability is broadly defined as ‘ meeting the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.’  All our products are designed to be energy efficient, cost effective and extremely durable. All our programs entail commitment to environmental, social and economic health parameters, or the triple bottom line as illustrated below .
